Been a long time since I've bought a military style boot, but now that I'm back on the flight line I wanted this to be maybe my last pair so I went full leather steel toe. Had versions of this brand in the past and Aircrew swore by there's, so put in an order. Very quality made and very comfortable for standing long periods in. Bit tough to break in, as expected but very supportive and I have no back or hip pain which was a concern going in. Oh and maybe go down a half size compared to what you wear in sneakers. I wear 11 in under armor and I probably could have been better off with a 10.5 however thick socks will overcome. Being that I'm in Australia, return shipping really isn't an option.

the navy made the right choice with this boot. looks and feels like a everyday shoe.

Very comfortable and fairly durable, however they are extremely slippery on wet flat deck and even diamond deck if you step in oil or water. If you're an engineer, I recommend sticking with the older issue boots just because they last longer and you don't slip nearly as much with them on wet or oily surfaces.
